Default Yao Ming playing very well lately

About a month ago, I posted that only 5 players had more pts and
rebounds than Yao Ming: Jermaine O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan,
Shawn Marion, and Elton Brand. With his recent stellar play, he has
surpassed O'Neal and Duncan, so only 3 players have more pts and
rebounds.

Well, as of today, only Marion averages more points and rebounds than
Yao....Yao got a shade more rebounds per game than Brand....

But numbers aside, no doubt he has got that grit and fire that he
lacked before.....as evident in the way he carried the Rockets in the
last few games.....he's getting the ball where he wanted, not whatever
spots the defence yields to him. He is taking the hits and bruises in
strides. Let's see how much he continues to improve before people stop
saying he is overrated.

Go Yao! 21 points and almost 10 boards a game-that's overrated..some of
these idiots are too much.

He's averaging 21/10 right now and people still call him over-rated and
a bust. It's not his fault, it's the media for hyping him up before he
even got drafted. They built him up so high, you would think he's the
next Wilt. They expect Yao to single-handedly hand the Rockets a
championship. Even when he score 30+ points and 10 rbs, they blame him
for the loss. Unless he finishes his career with 5 rings and 30/12
career stats, he'll always get criticized.
If the Rockets surround him with decent supporting cast, they would be
gunning for playoff spot right now and there would be less pot shots at
Yao.

lol...overrated? man come on...do you think rockets will even score
near 80 if it isnt for Yao Ming when the opponents are double or even
triple team him.
too bad mcgrady is pretty much out of the season and the playoff hope
for the rockets is pretty much gone.
