Maybe, but i donīt like the way the mavs played. In the first game they showed how they can beat miami by playing fast basketball. This game they simply hacked the shaq. Do you believe thats the right way. Shaq wasnītso impressive that this was necessary? Why is it sodifficult to slow down Wade? Perhaps the refs should have called less fouls on him, but that canīt be the only reason for his performance. Hannes

It's not that Shaq was impressive, Avery Johnson was playing the
averages, by sending Shaq to the line he was hoping that Shaq would
miss one or both, thus taking away the chance Miami would have decent
chance of scoring by Wade or any of the other perimeter shooters. So,
it would look like this... Dallas hits a 2 or 3 Pointer, Miami takes
the ball down court to counter, SHAQ is fouled he goes to the line
misses both free throws or hits one, Dallas comes out either 2 pts to
1, or 3 pts to 1.

This was a mistake by the Rookie finals coach (Johnson) because he
slows the tempo of the game down and the Mavs are not as good in the
half court as they are on the fast break.

I didnt think they needed to Hack him.. at our tempo we still had it....
I'm a Milwaukee Bucks fan ... so you know I have to like Dwayne Wade since he played for a university in Milwaukee, BUT the NBA has to be rigged something big-time .... Wade did NOT get fouled on the play where he was given the 2 free throws to win the game. Wade constantly carries the ball, also. Shaq should be suspended on precedent for this elbow/forearm shiver to Devin Harris late in the game. I know it sounds like Mavs fans, owners, coaches are whiners .... but it is because the NBA league office and reffing is so thinly veiled as to be transparent in their wish for certain teams/players to be successful. The NBA has turned into the WWE. Very sad for basketball purists, let alone Mavericks fans. The Mavericks are truly the better team who play a crisper brand of basketball that does not rely on 350 pounders to camp out in the lane and just throw elbows and his body into players on offensive moves with complete license. The Mavs don't have to rely on guys who change direction so well on the dribble because of blatant palming violations on nearly half of his offensive forays, either. Stern should be ashamed of the brand of basketball that he promotes or at the very least permits. Perhaps, this is why the USA players have had recent difficulty winning in international competition. The designated 'stars' cannot get away with murder like that on the international stage. They actually call fouls on offensive moves which rely on forearm shivers and flying elbows to the nose and jaw area. They actually don't let players get unfair offensive advantage through palming violations, either. Oh, well .... perhaps, the Mavericks can defy the odds the next 2 games. I hope so ... for the sake of good and pure basketball.

You must be moving to Dallas in the near future!

Whatever crybaby. You guys do not have the mental toughness to closeout games. Very weak.

I am afraid that this is the core problem.

And we have the best player in the NBA.

I don't know about the absolute best, but Wade is amazing. Completely
carrying the entire team and Dallas has no answers. He's getting past
2 and 3 defenders, making the basket, and getting fouled. A truly
superstar performance game after game.

Funniest part of the game was Dirk kicking things over going to thelocker room. And Shaq saying "I know the Dallas fans will becomplaining again"HEAT in 6 baby. See ya losers

I still give a slight edge to Dallas, but only if they return to game
1/2 style. Otherwise, toast.

Ill give you the same answer bitch boy Exactly.. the fact is the mavs played much better and they didnt even have their best bench player... the fouls wont be that lop sided again.. and miami will have to deal with our arena and they struggle a bit on the road for a powerful team...

What makes you think the fouls will be called any differently? Their
were bad calls and non-calls on both sides of the ball. Of course being
a Mavs fan you are only going to see the ones that don't go your way.
Just off the top of my head, one that stood out, was when one of the
Mavs had a hold of the back of Jason Williams' jersey all the way
across the floor when JW was driving to the basket. JW gave up the ball
and then there was an offensive foul called on Miami. (This was at the
7:17 mark of the 3rd quarter)

Also, lets not forget Shaq has yet to have a monster game. If that
happens, the Mavs will be in deep shit. They aren't going to stop Wade
if he's on - which from the look of things that's the only setting he
has - and if Shaq catches fire, watch out. If he puts in 30 in gm 6 (or
7) it's over for the Mavs.

That was a great game last night for basketball fans no matter what the
outcome was.

I thought for a while there we might have a Bird-Wilkins like shootout
between Dirk and Wade. Oh well.

BTW, Dirk needs to take some lessons from Ron Artiest on how to break
things....That stationary bike push was WEAK. LOL

didn't the Heat already blow out the Mavs with Stackhouse playing? .. as a matter of fact in that game if not for the stupid turnovers the blowout would have been closer to 40 pts.

Whatever, it still would have counted as one win. That game is over.
