In order to win a basketball championship, the concept of sacrifice
the individual for the benefit of the team comes to mind. There can be
no better achievement. Dwayne (sp) Wade sacrificed mind, body and soul
to help the Heat win their first championship. However, please note
that Mr. O'Neil did the same with the help of rest of the team. This
man was triple-teamed the entire series, and that is one of the reasons
why Mr. Wade had so many open opportunities.

I lived and worked in Seattle when Oregon State's Gary Payton was
drafted by the Sonics. He helped the Sonics offensively and
defensively for years, and was always a team player. He could not do
it alone. He put team first over individual accomplishments, just as
he did with the Miam Heat, and the failed run at the NBA Championship
with the Lakers a couple of years ago.

Kobe Bryant let his dislike of Shaq rent space in his mind, therefore,
he could not concentrate on the team concept. He was preoccupied with
self first, and now all he can do this Summer is sit on his "pity-pot
and remember what was as he reads his subscription of Sports
Illustrated about true team players who comprise the Miami Heat.

Team first.............or there will never be a champoinship ring to
decorate the finger of the selfish. Basketball is not tennis, golf, or
boxing; games of the individual.
