Minus Beckham permanently. Come on McLaren, axe the fucker.
That's McClaren. So what if there's a time when Lennon and S.W-Phillips get injured.......and possibly Gerrard too? It's fucking silly bugger to even think about dropping Beckham *permanently*. Fair enough, let the young lads through....but don't forget that the guy is only 31 years old and still one of, if not *the* best crossers of the ball and dead-ball men in the world today. He should always be kept in mind, even if he is no longer, rightfully too I might add, the first name on the sheet anymore. McClaren is doing this TOTALLY for the wrong reasons - he's doing it for the brownie points of showing he aint Sven's man - and simultaneously pandering to the 'anti-celebrity in football' militia. To the rather obvious detriment of the England squad, in my opinion. Clever. Start as you mean to go on, Steve.

Totally right. And I'm no fan of Beckham.

"I'm in charge now. I'm the fucking kiddie. The players don't rule this
squad, I do. Despite the fact I've never done anything remotely to
suggest I deserve this job. But I'll fucking prove to the press I'm the
boss. Now how can I do it, that's the question....."

.... Is probably a rough draft of the thought process. Graham Taylor all
over again, except Steve has achieved even less at club level. Its going
to be a cracking couple of years.

Cheers,
