Jays Give Up Far Too Many Stolen Bases
It is not just the fault of the catchers, Zaun and Molina who are very
mediocre at throwing to second. And the question must be asked, How in hell did Benji Molina ever win a Gold Glove as a major league catcher? But obviously the Jays pitching coaches have not done a good job all through the system of teaching pitchers how to hold runners on base. In this last series with Oakland, not a team known for outstanding speed, Oakland was able to steal too many bases almost at will.
