It's interesting to read the club's reaction to Tevez and Mascherano, it's very much what I thought, we weren't remotely interested in signing either one of them!
But you were interested in signing Carrick. Strange.

Not strange at all, we remember how the last "world class" Argentine
midfielder played for us. Curious enough Wenger stated several times
in the past that he was interested in signing Carrick.
