Default Where was Lebron

Carmelo and Wade stepped up and played well for Team USA throughout the
tournament despite the loss to Greece. I expected Lebron to make the
World Championships his coming out party on the world stage. It is hard
to imagine how a 6' 8" / 240 lb man could make himself invisible...but
somehow Lebron managed to do it.

lebron played an all around game. the type he prefers when he has a
supporting cast. his numbers were respectable:
14.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.1 apg.

he also was the only one to start every game. you should check your
stats before you start a hate thread.

Just curious, and I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with either of you,
but why does it always come down to stats? Is that the only way to
measure someones game? Iverson's stats are inflated, makes him look
better than he is. You can't measure defense by stats either.

Wassup with the bronze? That's weak.

Default Where was Lebron

My impression during the tournament was always that Lebron was playing more
productively than Carmelo or Wade. i.e., his all around game. But most
apparent was Lebron's unselfish play. i.e., giving his game up for the
team. However, the other two were somewhat ball hogs and one dimensional .

wade did a pretty astute thing volunteering to come off the bench -
pretty much assuring that he'd be coming in against second stringers
or tired 1st stringers.

a number of columnists noted that lebron deliberately passed off when
he had a chance to drive the lane and score or at least draw a foul.

personally i think this is going to help us in the long run as he
continutes to build a rep as being the kind of player that thinks
first about getting his teammates involved. what other team can
attract a free agent with the line that his stats might actually
improve playing alongside lebron?

"i can spell. i just can't type."

Very good point. Everybody likes to dunk when delivered a perfect pass. Just
one of those a game adds two points to a players scoring average. Hell,
Gooden averaged 10 points a game on put backs, pick and rolls with
Lebron or easy points off Lebron's penetration.

This fact really puts into perspective how bad Donyell Marshall was last
year.
I could not resist.
