Don't you mean the Seattle Trailblazers? The only reason Paul Allen didn't sell the team was because he knew the Sonics were headed out of town, giving him a golden opportunity to move his hobby team closer to home.
No. I mean the Seattle Supersonics. -- v/r Beau

Won't be no such thing. Okie City Ditchdiggers.

They have asked for an option to stay for another season:

From RealGM
TSN.ca - Since the Hornets may be unable to return to New Orleans in 2007-08 as planned, the
franchise has requested an option that would allow the team to spend a third season in Oklahoma City
as a contingency plan.

Yup, but they're not gonna be a sponsor. Hobby Lobby International is going to be the big money sponsor, the owner is a huge ranch guy, and they are thinking about changing the name to the Oklahoma City Horsepower.
I *hate* non-plural team names.

how do you know it's not plural?

I can't think of too many non-plural NBA teams, except for the 2
Floriduh teams. But those words have meanings that are not singular or
plural. You wouldnt say Miami Heats. Orlando Magics. Utah Jazzes? How
many "suns" are in Phoenix? That name should be Phoenix Sun. Unless
they mean Sons!
