Two games in a row that they came back in the late innings to win.
Last night was great with two in the bottom of the ninth to win. I cannot remember for the life of me the last time the Astros won a game in the ninth inning. Long overdue. Great peformances by Biggio and Palmiero. David |

It's the first time this season the Astros have had a walk-off HIT. They've had a walk-off walk, but not a hit. Quote:
All those games Houston lost in May, June, and July count just as much as these last few games. Quote:
Admit you were pissed off that Garner started Biggio again and used Palmeiro (who's been pretty solid lately). |

I was more pissed off that Garner let Scott hit against a LHP in the
eighth. I'm puzzled why we don't have Pence and McEwing up here from the minors. Scott can't hit a curve thrown by a LHP. chico chupacabra wrote: Quote:

Ground outs aren't so weird; "walk-off FCs" are. Last couple wins have been a little more conventional, and now this last week will be interesting. Tony LaRussa is looking kinda pale. :-) |

They also had a walk-off groundout, believe it or not. Rod |
