Mariners With a Shot at .500.....
They are winning 7-2 today, and with a win would be 3 games under .500.
I would consider an 80 win season a good improvement over last year. Certainly nothing to throw a party over since we will probably still be last in the division, but improvement never the less. Core of young players gelling, getting better year after year. That is something to root for.... right? Nice for the overpaid to begin showing up the last month of the season in Beltre and Sexson. Too bad it's way too little and way too late. Washburn is still exactly what I figured what he'd be. A mammoth bust.
