You're too simplistic to understand it, Ahti, but for the purposes of determing MVP, strikeouts shouldn't be part of the discussion. They're outs period. If you're trying to determine who you might want to be at the plate in a defined situation, however, they are a relevant consideration. Now that I've answered your question, how about answering a few of mine, some of which you've been dodging for nearly a year now. How long does a person have to live in an area in order to no longer be considered by you to be a "transient"? Should people be restricted to some geographical radius surrounding their birthplace? If so, how many miles would such a radius extend? Are you a socialist? Do you believe in a caste system, and, if so, which class do you belong to? What events in your past have led you to be so bitter about your lack of upward mobility in life? I look forward to your responses, Ahti. -- Lance

Good luck, Lance. I have asked him similar questions which also have
gone unanswered. I did learn today, however, that he's killfiled me.
<sigh>

I also learned today that he says most of my posts are Lancian.

I thanked him.

Go Cards,
Tom

Lance has become an adjective??

Wow! No greater complement can there be. It's like when you say you are
going to Fedex something or that you need a Kleenex - both of which are
really brand names.

.... a Lancian post, hmmm.

Yeah, how about that, David?

It's kind of like usenet's version of an Oscar! ;-)

Who's being "awfully quiet" now, Ahti? You've had a week and a half
to respond, but you've reverted to your usual custom of running away
and hiding like the coward that you are.
