Attendance can be related to many factors. Corporate seats, Barry Bonds watching and the overall placement of the park in relation to the Stick can make for a huge difference in attendance. Their overall record also has something to do with it. Yeah, it does mean something. But the orginal post was in relation to the Sabean/McGowan

Who?

Thank you. The feeling is and would be mutual, naturally, if the roles
were reversed. I'm just wondering if it was worth the extra few days.
If nothing else, I get the feeling Jeff Kent will be cast away before
next season for showing heart and pride in this series. Last night
only hurt because the team had that moment in the fifth and sixth.

Free advice to Mr Sabean...for the sake of your franchise and fans, do
not touch Mark Hendrickson.

Like most people here, Don, I hate your Dodgers with a purple passion. Needless to say, I was pleased as punch to see them go down in three straight and to see their postseason futility since the late 1980s continue unabated. All of that said, as Dodger fans go, I do like you and I do, therefore, feel a certain amount of empathy for how you must feel tonight. That's empathy for you, NOT for your team. Anywho, Don, glad to have you join us in the we-won't-we-going-to-the-World-Serious-this-year club.

The double play at home will be one of my lasting memories of Kent.

I loved his comment after the game. "I looked over at Drew and said
'what are you doing here?'" I've had those moments too, but never on a
baseball diamond.

Oh yeah that play was *SWEET*!!! I saw it on the 10 o' clock news.
Kent diving into home reminded me of the numerous times he got thrown
out at 3B by a mile trying to stretch a double into a triple when he was
a Giant. And then at least more than a second later, another idiot came
running into home plate. The thing is, it didn't seem like he was even
on Kent's tail; he was probably at least 30 feet behind Kent. What was
*he* thinking?! :-D

Oh, you are so right about that! Colletti made some pretty good moves in
his first year there as GM but his two big(gest) bonehead moves were
getting Tomko and especially Hendrickson. As for the latter, I've
already seen WAAAAAY too many crap-a-licious lefties here.
