Default Prediction of August 30th

I cut and paste the following prediction from August 30th of this
year, which was posted in this newsgroup.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having watched the Angels year to date, I think realistically they
finish second in the West, behind Oakland. I think the Angels perhaps
4 games behind the A's.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Am I good or what.

----------
Having watched the A's year to date, I think realistically that Frank Thomas
will hit two home runs in the first playoff game, since the Angels will
finish
4 games behind the A's.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------

Am I good or what.

WHOA! How did you do that???

(I wrote way back in May that the Angels would finish 5 back of the
A's, and Thomas would only hit a homer and two doubles in the first
playoff game, so I was WAY off. Please tell us your method of
prognostication, O Great Kusta.)

A good prognosticator never revels his secrets. I will tell you, however,
that I will be arriving in Reno this evening for a 6 day stay. With my
knowledge, I figure to go 5 days before going broke........so I will have to
enjoy the Italian Festival. Interesting games--Cal/ U of O; 49ers and
Raiders

Ciao, bambino
