I know AD gets knocked hideously for a seeming lack of effort, but
maybe this article will make those feel a little better about him for
the moment. It did for me.

I did make a mistake earlier in the year (when he was hitting 2nd),
of thinking he'd turned a corner and was becoming a bonafied star, but
Sept cured me.

My largest bone with the boy is how he seemed to put no effort into
the 1B scenario in ST.

That and the fact that his 'game' has not really improved in any area in the
past 3 years .. he is roughly the same player as he was in 2003. Same
fielder, baserunner, and hitter - in no area has he made an improvement that
I can see.
