Default TEAM CAPTAIN
I don't remember many official team captains, except for Granny Hamner.

I think most of them are infielders. Pee Wee Reese with the Dodgers

Eddie Joos 3B for A's

I think Berra was unofficial team captain for Casey Stengel.

I think Rollins would be good for Phils or maybe Rollins/ Utley as
Co-captains.

Mike Lieberthal has been captain for qite a while now
Before that is was Darren Daulton

So my vote goes to Carlos Ruiz

I think it will be Rollins or Rowand or Utley for a few years. Ruiz is wet
behind the ears yet. Coste would be better than Ruiz. Oh wait, I forgot
about Jaramillo.
