Default Again, Nice Hit Torii....way to NOT have him bunt Gardy

Darn, if only Torii would have been allowed to hit in the second inning.

Okay, time to get out of the 0-gazillion slump.

And Torii once again exercises questionable judgement trying to come
home rather than staying at third with one out.

Don't know how much of that goes on Ullger, but goddamn I'm tired of
this team making stupid-ass outs. Runners at first and third, one out
is a GOOD SITUATION guys. Stop throwing that kind of thing away.

Twins have played dumb, dumb baseball all series long. Gardy in on the
act too letting Perkins pitch to Frank Thomas. WTF man? A rookie
left-hander with all of 4 big league appearances against one of the
most feared right handed bats in the league? Terrible.

I'm an A's fan and I think you're right. After seeing a half-dozen or
so replays...I can't blame the ump, because it was a close call, but
Torii was *safe*.

The ball beat the runner by a good margin. Sometimes, unfortunately, that
is all the umpire looks at.

Doesn't matter. Was still a terrible decision to send him. Leave the
runner on third with one out. Don't take that kind of risk. Whether
it's Hunter or Ullger to blame (and it's probably the later), it's just
a terrible, terrible decision - one in a string of them this series.

It was said in the post-game show that Torii tried to bunt on his own.
