No free agent compensation next year?
I've been reading that the free agent compensation will be a thing of the
past. Any confirmation on this. Good or bad? TonyG Phils potential free agents next year. Conine Wolf Fultz Rhodes Delucci Leiberthal Jose Hernendez Santana Rick White Jamie Moyer

Well, the current collective bargaining agreement expires sometimes this
December. From what I've heard, during recent collective bargaining sessions (back in August, I think), the players' union agreed to eliminate draft pick compensation. As of now, there hasn't been a CBA extension or new agreement achieved... they're still negotiating. So right now, the loss of FA compensation isn't certain (or "official") yet, but highly likely.
