Default Foye: Not the real thing

>From the PiPress (with apologies to sknight):
: Foye focused on 'D':
: One of the reasons the Wolves coveted guard Randy
: Foye before this summer's NBA draft was his defense.
:
: Asked what he took away from his experience in July
: at the Las Vegas summer league, Foye said: "The biggest
: thing that I learned from summer league is that you have
: to stop this guy (in front of you). Everything from my point
: of view is that you have to be a great defender to be able
: to play in this league because there are a lot of guys that
: can go one on one really good."
:
: So averaging 24.8 points a game and being named the
: summer league's most valuable player wasn't a big deal?
:
: "I knew it wasn't the real thing," he said.

From your subject line, I thought you were riding the kid. After I read

this I was encouraged.
He's not getting ahead of himself, and he respects the game. All good
things.

Nah. Just using the "Sknight" approach to writing
subject lines - twisting something in the article to
come up with something controversial, inflammatory
even.

Talent, good attitude and work ethic. Nothing but positives so far.
