Occasionally, yes. F'rinstance, I'll do it if I'm responding to a posted
article and am making a comment referring to the whole thing, want to
leave the article up for someone who hasn't seen the original yet; that
way I'm not doing the 1-line respnose at the end of a long unsnipped
post. But if I'm responding to various different points in the article,
then I snip out everything I'm not responding to and respond to each
point directly after it.
