My only consolation is that you got reeled in while biting my ass. BTW, Tom Hicks should have his checkbook ready the instant Steinbrenner is stupid enough to fire Torre.

You may want to take a look at Torre's non-Yankee winning percentage
before hiring him. I'm not saying he's a bad manager. Just that his
personality probably lent itself more to dealing with veterans who
shuffle in and out like the Yankees. My feeling is that Pinella is a
better manager, but he might not be better for New York.
