Let's go by starting pitching. A's have the advantage each game Zito pitches, but that is it. Tigers have the advantage in all other games.
That's why I think the people who have a problem with Robertson startinggame one don't get it. IF you do well against Zito, you have a shot atwinning, no matter who's pitching for you. If you don't, you will lose, nomatter who's pitching for you.
Absolutely. And why waste one of our better starters if Zito's "on"? The Tigers will have the pitching advantage in the next 3 games. Could be a great move, if it doesn't backfire.

hmmm, well, I didn't even consider "backfire" an option. Either you beat
Zito or you don't. If you didn't, it's not really a "backfire." It's just a
game where he beat you . . .
The Tigers made Zito pitch. They got to him (and, not to "toot my own horn,"
so to speak, but I posted here last weekind that my one prediction for the
ALCS was that Inge would break out offensively.)

:-)

I'm hoping Nate pitches the game of his life and the Tiger hitters are patient. Brian

LOL Yeah, I'm sure the Tigers are thinking "go ahead, take game 1.... then we'll have you exactly where we want you." LOL
