Typical game for Nate. Lots of jams and then pitching out of the inning.
Only thing non-typical was the run support.
The Tiger's number four starter is better than a lot of teams number one.

And.....the Tigers have some very good pitching coming up, and Oakland
doesn't. Could this year be better than anyone had dreamed?

Yeah, but it was incredible to see him striking out 3 batters in a row with
runners on 2nd & 3rd bases.

who is our #1 and who is our #4, depends on the day.

We have had three amazing games in a row by starts and if you count
Verlander and the relief staff four games ago ---

Well, we are a freight train ready to deliver!

in my humble opinion the game was when Leyland talked to Mr. Robertson
and said something that led to three Ks

btw
The Sporting News named Leyland Manager of the year and Verlander Rookie
of the year.

Same situation. Nate struck out the side. Leyland said he told him not
to worry about the runners, just get the hitters. And that's what Nate
did, three K's to end the inning.
