He definitely cost EE a year of development, but 1B is exactly where I think he should be.
I haven't disagreed with this before, but I will now. I think Edwin has too much natural ability at third to toss in the towel on him now. His problems defensively sure seem correctable and with Joey Votto on the way, he is most needed at third long-term anyway.

Absolutely. Edwin made up for a lot of his errors with some spectacular
plays as a result of good range. If he can calm down his throws, he'll be
very serviceable at 3rd base.

I don't care how you spin it, he's had an excessive number of errors at all
levels. I want his bat in the lineup, and I want the Reds defense improved.
If that means moving to Edwin to first base, so be it.

That seems to be a popular solution. Maybe he, Dunn and Hatteberg can
all play first in a radical new innovation on the shift defense. Sure,
anything down the left field line will be an inside-the-park homer...

Incidentally, did anyone notice that Barry Bonds had a better range
factor and zone rating this year than Adam Dunn? Man, that's no kind of
good.

I don't think Dunn will be a Red, and hopefully Hatteberg isn't a starter.
With Edwin looking up at Brandon Larson's fielding percentage, I don't think
it's so far fetched.
