Why are East Coast game and a West Coast game starting at the same time?

Well, it's like this:
The Eastcoast game starts at 8:00 because that is the optinum time for the
bigger market team. (The Mets). Thw Westcoast game starts at 5:00, because
if the game started at 8:00, it would mean the game would start in the
Detroit market at 11:00 on a school night.
As to why neither game is a day game? Market share or course. It is not
about the baseball, it is about the beer comercials.

I remember the 99 ALDS against the Diamondbacks, if I'm not mistaken
those games started at 10:00 or 10:30 here in NY.

I think I remember that. Then I am sure they looked at the ratings and
reconsidered that bad decision.

For as long as Fox has had playoff baseball, NLCS game 1 and ALCS game 2
have been at the same time. I don't know why. You'd have to ask the TV
people.

So they want to make sure the school kids see enough beer commercials?
Fox execs are sicker than I thought.
