My gut says that the Mets take it and I think that they're the better
*team*, but they're really going to have to score some runs when Trachsel
and Perez take the hill. The Mets likely win tonight behind Glavine and I
think you can give game three (Carpenter) to the Cards. Game two and four
are toss-ups, but the Mets win at least one of those thanks to their offense
and bullpen. If they win the other one, they take it in five; otherwise,
six.

The anti-weauxf gods tell me to predict the Mets in 6, so that's what
I'll do.

That said, Weaver has pitched better lately, and Glavine doesn't scare
me. Maine, Trashcan and Ollie Perez are all very beatable. And it
appears that either Game 1 or 2 in NY may be rained out, which would
enable the Cardinals to move Carpenter up in the rotation. Right now,
Carp is scheduled to pitch Games 3 and 7.
