++++++++++ It is hard to believe that the hatred for the Yankees is so strong that people would behave that way. I doubt that there would be the same reaction if he was still a Philly, or played for the Indians, for example. I was not on baseball newsgroups when the Indian pitchers had their boating accident, so I have no idea what the reaction was then. I suspect it was not as ugly. I strongly dislike the Yankees as a team, their ownership, their overspending, many of their arrogant fans who are fans of the Yankees but not of the institution of baseball, those fans who thing a championship is an entitlement, and some of their cheating players. But nothing would cause me to react to the tragic death of a player of any team with wanton glee.

IAWTP.... I was thinking this exact same thing, but couldn't figure out how
to put it in words...

I am hanging out over here for the day. Those dirty mothers over on my normal NG are about the lowest form of life anywhere. If they were standing in front of me, there would be several less pieces of shit walking around.

I just visited and I can't believe the sick crap over there. I think the majority are just trolls from elsewhere, but still, these "people" have absolutely no soul.

I even so an e-mail exchange in one of my fantasy football leagues that said
'If Kitna is your answer at QB this week you are going to crash and burn
like Cory Lidle". It was from one Yankee fan to another. Sick...
