More on Jacko:
=== Jackson originally told police he was punched in the face but later said he was not, prosecutors said. === Jackson lied?! Oh the humanity! === He told police he fired the shots in the air to break up the fight. "Firing the shots in the air at that point is criminal recklessness," Brizzi said. "Those bullets, once they come up, have to come down, and they come down at least 90 miles per hour, and they do absolutely have the ability to take someone's life." === This is a good point. I had friends in Nashville who would fire their pistols in the air to celebrate the fourth of July and even Halloween. I wonder how many people die each year from falling bullets. === Prosecutors also said Jackson kicked a man who police said has a deformed arm. Jackson told police the man, Quentin Willford, started the brawl. === I know what you're thinking, but this is actually a positive. Jackson engaging this man in a fistfight would have been unfair. By restricting his aggression to kicking, he courtesouly leveled the field. I say kudos. |

This is an excellent point. Engaging a one legged man in a kick fight would be untoward. I guess the best explanation for things like this is that hill-billys come in all colors. For one thing I've never understood NBA player's seeming addiction to strip clubs. Do they really lack for sluts in their lives? Its quite possible that Artest wasn't the craziest fucker on that roster. td |

The MythBusters television show did an experiment on whether falling bullets could kill a person and their conclusion was that this was nearly impossible. I suppose if someone had a soft enough skull or was missing a portion of the skull, that it could be fatal. Also if a person had some underlying medical problem in which a moderate blow to the head could result in a fatality, then it's possible. But for a healthy person, you'd just end up with a headache and a knot on your head. |

Did they experiment on the red-headed guy with the goatee? td |
