Always looking ahead, are TEE still on the hook for his salary in 2006? Or does George hire the same people the GOP does? Teddy
I was reading, I think on ESPN... the yankees have a stipulation in all oftheir contracts that if a player is hurt outside of practice or during agame and can not perforn, they will not be paid.

Wasn't he about to be a free agent?

I'd imagine so, hence the reason Philly traded him, but even still I'd
imagine they have a free agent period like in football.. so he would
technically still be a contracted player of the yankees.

He fulfilled his contract and would have to be paid. He was becoming a
free agent over the off season. Considering his salary was in the
millions, he probably saved/invested more than enough for his family to
be financially very well off.
