Default Salmons to Kings

So it turns out that Salmons did have somethinng in mind - getting an
extra $2.5M to go play for the Kings. I still don't get how at least
three teams were willing to sign him to $22M+ contracts. I guess the
trend is to get players who can play multiple positions, and Salmons
certainly fits that description - yet, somehow it hasn't been noticed
that in 4 years he has never played any of those positions very well
(and he did get the chance with the Sixers' pathetic bench): too
turnover-prone and erratic for PG, not a good enough shooter for SG,
and too short and not a good enough rebounder (or shooter) at SF.

Is the middling but multi-positional player the new big white stiff of
the league?
