Default Another Pacer Gone

Fred Jones, who played the part of a more than adequate backup guard,
has signed with the Toronto Raptors where he will back up newly
acquired PG T.J. Ford.

Another Pacer I liked gone. Damn! Got to wonder if Jermain is next.

Steve,

Fred was athletic and a streaky shooter, but he had to be one of the
worst NBA-level passers I've ever seen. His game seems to have hit a
plateau; certainly he wasn't worth the $$ his agent was seeking.

True about the money but he's still young enough to benefit from
coaching (the passing could have been improved). My point is, the
chemistry of this team has changed so much with all of the player
movements that only Tinsley, O'Neill and Jackson remain as a
recognizable unit. Adding Daniels was a good move but adding
Armstrong only helps the bench when the starting 5 is where the
improvement needs to be.

Most people agree that something must be done with Tinsley and/or
Jackson. So we are left to assume that more changes will be coming
before November. If not, the tar is heating up and the feathers are
being plucked.
