Good grief. The man said some stupid stuff when he was drunk. We should all
be more worried about DUI...But the media is taking this man out with an iron fist. I guess maybe because it was his blockbuster Passion of the Christ which was so famous with the Christian right? I have no clue...Are we going to crucify this man because he said something stupid while totally drunk? I think I have heard worse than this while someone was drunk atleast 10 times over. Oh and while I am a supporter of Israel.. I have to say the ADL and other Jewish groups are as bad as the NAACP and Black Panthers. Check this bit out.. talk about reaching.. KKK? "Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, called on Gibson to to drop plans to produce the Holocaust mini-series for ABC. "It seems inconceivable that he should, given these cirumstances, make a film about the Holocaust. That would be like getting somebody that has a past association with the KKK to do a film on African-Americans. The African-Americans would be up in arms. That's the way Jews feel. That's legally drunk in all 50 states, you idiot. Yes, even in the backwoods beer-swilling state of Wisconsin. Quote:

Which begs the question further - if he wasn't that drunk, then his Jew-baiting really isn't that deep beneath the skin... Venger |

Yep. It's "legally drunk," but it also amounts to about a beer and a half for most folks... maybe two. The Coors guy got popped for DUI in Colorado the other day, a full half hour or more after drinking a single glass of wine. His first breath test showed something around a .09, while a half hour later another test showed .12 or so. That does raise a question about how, without consuming more alcohol, your blood alcohol can rise. Not a defense of Gibson or drunks (especially as I've never drank much and essentially don't drink at all these days), but I really have some difficulty with so much credence being applied to "tests" that can be quite inaccurate and legal levels that might actually impair a driver less than the use of a cell phone, and certainly less than reading a book while driving down the freeway (witnessed far more often than one might imagine). |
