I makes you wonder when you visit hoopshype.com and there is no news
from the Wolves, or other sites as well, but there seems to be a constant stream from Portland, Indiana, and of all places the Wizards? Hmmmmm. I'm thinking nothing will get done, and this is the team we will have to watch. Another year of Mark Blount futility, and Casey playing head games with the already challenged, incredibly fragile Eddie Griffin. Has the team considered a hypnotist for both? Backbone, will to rebound, a little leather on the hide. Griffin is a classic case of self loathing, and needs some support, if he has to be retained, then how about encouraging him, and building him up. |

Umm, what is there to report? That McHale doesn't take calls when he's fishing/golfing? That McHale thinks Hudson is a wuss? That all the rest of the teams, if they take McHale's calls at all, laugh uncontrollably at McHale's offers? That the commishioner won't let the Wolves play in the D-league? That Eddie G isn't taking calls from rehab? Quote:
Apparently. And that for the 1st 20 games, they'll be billed as an uptempo team. Then a realignment will get us to the All-Star break. Then, fire Casey, and bringing on Wittman will stoke fan interest for 20 more games, and then unleash Mark Madsen from the 3pt line for the last 20 games and angle for a lottery pick. Woo woo! Quote:
Nah, Eddie already spanks the monkey-bone. Quote:
That was what the DVD in the dashboard was for. But seriously, you're right. |

It is getting pretty frustrating seeing our team's lack of movement. I
realize that something could be brewing behind-the-scenes, but I'm very skeptical about McHale and Company's ability to improve this team. Has anyone heard any rumors lately about this team? They can't possibly think that this current roster is built correctly. Any thoughts? Ramon levi wrote: Quote:

The Wolves made one of the biggest moves of any team by signing Mike James, a 20 point, 6 assist point guard. This *might* even be a better move than the Bulls signing Wallace or the Peja signing. Sure, it would be nice to get rid of Blount, Jaric or Hudson, but I wouldn't expect a miracle here, even if Jerry West were GM. Outside NY, teams seem to be more wary of ugly contracts this offseason. McHale has made some bad moves (worst of all the Jaric signing and Wally/Davis/Blount trade), but this offseason has been a good one. Adding James and Foye is a huge upgrade from Jaric/Huson/Carter, and probably puts them into contention for a 7th or 8th seed, assuming KG can have a better season than last. Quote:

What? Ikrush thinks we out smoked the Wallace signing. Now that is blotter acid seeing things on the sunny side. However, Eddie Jones, the Suns color guy had a very dim view of Wallace, and that now that he's on the Bulls, he no longer has the other Pistons to hide the deficits in his game. In other words, no offensive game, and the Pistons might actually profit from his absense. That's hard to believe, but only time will tell. As far as the Wolves, unless they get a huge turnaround from EG, and somehow get Blount a heart to make him want to rebound, KG will be forced to get all the rebounds, and his tank will continue to get drained by seasons end. If this team can't rebound on the offensive end they are doomed to more of the same, I don't care how much hop and verve they employ at the start of the season. |
