I'm glad the NBA finally realized how boring and bad for ratings the
mermaids (sp*rs) are! After being removed from the NBA Title last year, the boring mermaids are not even in the top 6 teams to get attention by the networks.. Bullshit with the Small-Market excuse, Cleveland, Phoenix and Miami are small markets and they will get more exposure Yes the mermaids will get some TV, but not as much as other teams... Thank God! MOST NATIONAL TV APPEARANCES (NOT INCLUDING NBATV) ESPN: 10 -- Cleveland Cavaliers 10 -- Dallas Mavericks 10 -- Detroit Pistons 10 -- L.A. Lakers 10 -- Miami Heat 10 -- Phoenix Suns TNT: 9 -- Chicago Bulls 9 -- Cleveland Cavaliers 9 -- Dallas Mavericks 9 -- L.A. Lakers 9 -- Miami Heat 9 -- Phoenix Suns ABC: 5 -- Cleveland Cavaliers 5 -- Detroit Pistons 5 -- L.A. Lakers 5 -- Miami Heat 5 -- Phoenix Suns |

I wouldn't worry about those egg heads and their errant marketing. They
never played the damn sport! Teams that provide the most entertainment and should be on nationally are; No. 1 Miami Heat...Shaq, Mourning provide muscle that the adverage fan just can't muster. And Williams and now Wade provide antics and heroics that adverage fan/players envy and try to duplicate. No. 2 LA Lakers, there is still the Kobe watch and wonderment, especially after that 81 point performance last season. Long time fans and new ones await the return of the Lakers to the upper elite status just like Christians await Jesus, they'll probably arrive in glory at about the same time.... No. 3 San Antonio Spurs, Duncan, Parker and Ginobli are exciting and exceptional ballers. They know how to compete and win! No. 4 this year will be the Chicago Bulls with afro Big Ben Wallace, who'll change the image and odds way out in Vegas. Already come down to an early 4-1 favorite. No 5 Deeeeetroit basketball! Pistons will generate interest in most fans who just want to see how they'll react and perform without Wallace. Prince is set to join an all star cast along side James and Bryant. With just a little more finese and a tint of greed he'll be there. No. 6 What's happenin' in Phili'...fans having heard all the trade rumors involving the littlest big man in basketball Allen Iverson will still want to see how he focuses and plays. No. 7 Has to be Orlando Magic. With a new star in Dwight Howard and a healthy cast fans will want to know if they can continue what they started at the end of last season. No. 8 Cav's....the novice will watch James and Cleveland, along with Hughs hoping for some highlight footage.... No. 9 Dallas Mav's. A let down in the finals as real ballers feel Dirk punked out when he got bounced around by Shaq and Morning will seek if he can bounce back! The rest of the league is to watered down without real interest...but next in line would be Suns, Utah and then possibly the Bucks...followed by Timberwolves and Clippers... any after that you really don't even want to watch for free! |

How much is League Pass? As a Spurs fan stuck in Katy, I'll need to get my basketball fix somehow. The rockettes only play SA 4 times, and all rockette games have a 'preseason' feel about them. Looking at that schedule I'd have to say the NBA is really pimping LeBron James. The Cavs haven't done enough to warrant that kind of exposure yet. One second round playoff appearance in a gazillion years shouldn't get 24 national TV appearances. Same can be said of the Lakers and Kobe. The other teams on that list have at least contended for the last 3 or 4 years and deserve that amount of exposure. Regards, //// (o o) -oOO--(_)--OOo- "He hits from both sides of the plate. Its who you want to see play. I like watching the likes of Kobe and Lebron. The best is when Kobe posterizes Lebron or Wade. |

If the Spurs are "pathetic" and they only have 17 games on National TV, what
does it say that the Rockettes only have 12 playing in a city 3 times the size of SA? And way to go by crossposting to all the other newsgroups to show how much of a stupid asshole you are, Louis. I notice that you didn't add the Rockets newsgroup. Is that because they always tell you to shut the hell up and stop embarassing them? Now THAT is truly pathetic!
