Default J.P. deals

Just looking at some of J.P. deals this year.

I don't think it is wrong to see Hinske go, but I think were paying too much
of the salary next year.

We didn't get anything for Schoeneweis.

I liked the addition of Overbay, Burnet and B.J. Ryan, but did we pay to
much.

I liked the addition of Glauss, but hated to lose Hudson.

I think we also ate to much of Kosie salary also.

I am just wondering if the problem is J.P. ablity to negotiate. I work in an
a contract sales industry and I know that once someone is label as a soft
touch they will have a very hard time getting fair deals.

If the other GM and the player agents have J.P. pegged as a easy mark that
could explain some things. It seams like the Jays are always absorbing an
extra few million dollars, overpaying on a contract, throwing in another
player, or accepting a lower vaule prospect.

Maybe I am wrong, but the pattern seam to go right back to the Steward deal
and the signing of Hinske contract in the first place.

How much is it costing you? We thought that the Jays were on the
hook - we didn't know that you were paying part of his salary as
well.

Why should we get anything for any of the players? They belong to
the Jays, not us.

We didn't pay a dime for them. If you did, you're a fool, because
it is the Jays that are contracted with them, not you.

Koskie didn't cost us a dime. It is the Jays who paid him, not us.

Gee, it sounded to us that you work for the Jays, the way you refer
to them as "us" and "we."

It turns out that you're just another small, pathetic little troll,
who lives life vicariously throught sport teams because he has no
life of his own.

We don't want people like you posting to "our" ng.

cordially, as always,

The only point of your post is to point out that I used us in reference to
the Jays. You then turn it into a personal attack.

I don't know you, but a word of advice. If you want to make personal attacks
for no reasons make them in person. I sure if we wanted to we could meet in
a bar somewhere between where I live and wherever you live. Then you could
try making personal attacks like a man.

I am not going to turn this into a flame war so if you want to respond and
throw insults around go ahead. I will ignore any such response.

back to my original statement

Do you agree or disagree the J.P. may not be that great a negotiator? An
extra million here and there could make a big difference in deciding if a
trade is good or bad.

hypotetical:

If we (by we I mean the Jays ) ) were picking up Hinski from Boston would
they have absorbed as much of his contract as we (Jays again ) ) did?
