Default Big Ron Manager

Big Ron is on Sky 1 tonight at 22.00 hrs. I hope this will help get the big
fella back onto the TV as a commentator where he should be.

Watched about half an hour of it a couple of weeks ago thought it was
brilliant. Great character
of the game same as Barry Fry. Even inspired me to play half an hour on
FM2006 which is no
mean feet itself

What do you think of the game?

I find it's almost random (too much so) at times... For example, I will play
Chelsea V (someone) and may lose 5-0 and then reload, and play the same game, no
changes, and win 4-0... Takes away the whole point of trying to play
tactically... What's the point of watching players past performance and fitness
level if it's all down to randomness?

Other then that, I love the game and play it a lot... It's fun to create your
fantasy team and place them in the EPL and see how they do...

never
be sure of result. Sure it can be abit random but its a stimulation no

Default OT: Online footy management game.

I saw people discussing FM2006 in the Big Ron thread.

I suggest you have a look at http://www.trophymanager.com

It is in many aspects similar to FM but far simpler (then again I'm a
grown up with a social life now, so the last time I played FM it was
still called CM and it was 5 years ago...).
There are 3 games a week, and you only need a few minutes to adjust your
tactics to prepare for each game. Of course you can also spend a lot of
time selling and buying players and fine tuning everything, but the game
is very accessible to casual gamers.

People who register at roughly the same time will be placed in the same
group (currently division 6, group 3 for England), so it should make for
interesting clashes if some of you jump in.

As of today there are just short of 15,000 people playing worldwide.

Give it a try, it's good fun.

Ah Rons alright despite his ties to you know who. Great programme
even just for the behind the scenes footage of a lower league club.

Have you ever wondered if there was some reason they replayed matches that
had to be delayed instead of just using an excel spreadsheet of player
abilities to work out which team ought to have won?
