We'll he's certainly got experience - and he played in the world cup.
Probably worth it just for that, rather than his goal scoring. Would he be
any better/worse than SKP? Similar age and that. I mean, who's our oldest
striker - they're all kids.

Fuck me! Sorry if I'm the last to get off the boat on this one, but I
didn't realise it was any more than a rumour! -

No offence, but what standard is the Oz league? And what position was
he playing?

At the world cup he looked a decent holding midfielder - but with
Arnau, Whitehead, Leadbitter, Miller (ok, this ones a joke!), Lawrence
(played canny as part of a 5 man midfield) and the supposed other
signing today of Graham Kavagnah, are we trying to sign more
midfielders than even Spurs? Will all these old signings stop the
development of Leadbitter, who I think is the best talent our youth
setup has created?

But anyway, Tevez to West Ham! Bugger me, I know the lad is over-rated,
but weren't Man U and Arsenal after him? The delcine and fall of the
Man U empire continues...

the rumours are that the company that owns the players contracts
were involved in a takeover bid for west ham last year
and also the company has links to ambramavich

might be a case of south american players proving themselves in england
before the big teams take them next year

It's a strange signing as Keane slagged Yorke off summ'it rotten in his
book.

Now if you were on the Barcode's newsgroup, you'd now be saying.... "Oh THAT
Dwight Yorke!! I thought you meant another fella with the same name! Of
course THIS Dwight Yorke is an absolute legend and will be a fantastic
addition to the squad.... I'm absolutely made up that he's coming!"
