Okay. We had a healthy resentment that Chelsea could come along and suddenly
outbid us in the transfer market, but basically that's football. What isn't football though, and is in fact increasingly sinister, is the lengths Roman and Chelsea are going to to stop their rivals buying anyone at all. This MSI business with Tevez and Mascherano is extremely omenous and shows just how ruthless Chelsea have become in their push for world domination. They will stop at nothing at all. I didn't particularly mind Chelsea winning their two Premierships, rather them than LFC or Arse. But now I see I was wrong. That was a bit like turning a blind eye to the Nazis invading Poland. I've always had a healthy footballing 'hatred' of LFC and of arse but I've now come to see that Chelsea are the only real evil and a stand must be made. It's come to the point where I'd 'almost' rather see LFC win it than Chelsea again. At least all the contenders apart from Chelsea are doing their best to compete on the pitch, not through a labyrinth of front companies and vested interests to try and cheat their rivals out of players and success. Chelsea fans, you've had your fun, you've seen your team lift the title, isn't it time now to be very worried about what your club is doing to the shape of world football. Or will you turn a blind eye like those countless Germans in the 30s and 40s who just said, 'we had no idea'. Come on Arsenal, come on Liverpool, come on all you clubs with an ounce of respect for the game we love, the best thing we can all do is hurt Chelsea on the pitch, by taking as many points as possible from them. A season without the Premiership, another season without the CL and they could implode under the stress of underachievement. Come on 'everybody' but Chelsea ...!!! A. Dieu. |

I think that's been clear for some time. I can hardly think of a Gooner I know that wouldn't rather see Man U (or anyone, maybe not Spurs) win the Premiership. I am not sure what can be done about Roman, but his influence over our game has reached farcical proportions. |

A bit worrying the lengths they'll go to make sure other clubs don't buy good players. They did it to us a few times last season - especially with Simao. Chelsea never had any intentions of buying him, but mocked interest so that Benfica pushed the price up and Liverpool couldn't afford him. |

At this stage I still think it's paranoia. Not in terms of wether
Abramovich has influence or not. But in terms of wether it affects how United, Arsenal, Liverpool or any of Chelsea's rivals play on the pitch. I think rather than pulling *away*, they're pulling up the rest of the quality fo the league. Inadvartent ofcourse, but that's cool. Even if it's "influence" it's good to see Mascherano and Tevez playing for the Hammers, though I know some may prefer to see them in the Champions Leage. Berbatov at Spurs. Duff & Martins at Newcastle. That's good. If they get *really* out of hand, Chelsea will be slapped if Juve (more powerful than Chelsea) can have what happened to them happen then so can Chelsea. Though OTOH, Milan got away scott-free and in fact strenghtened by the whole mess...... Anyway. Ian Harvey wrote: Quote:

I thank them for that. I prefer Pennant. 1/2 the price, a couple of years younger, and more likely to be at least decent in the EPL. |

Every team must go out on the pitch against them as if they were part of the happy few who defended our skies against the would-be invader so valiantly in 1941. Every goal against Chelsea is striking a blow for the little man, for football, for freedom! Vive la football A. Dieu. |

What does really out of hand mean? There is absolutely no way Tevez and Mascherano would sign for West Ham. Chelsea are using the Hammers to see if they can perform in the Premiership. At what point does it become out of hand? |
