LIE # 1. We have money to compete. If Sir Alex wants a player we can buy him. We are very comfortable with the budget we have - David Gill, Summer 2006. In fact there is no money for new players - United are one of the few net sellers in the Premiership this summer. United have sold, loaned or released 29 players from May to August and brought in just two, making ours one of the smallest squads in the Premiership. Cost cutting above all has been put first. In addition to the released players United has cut the number of boys in the Academy - reducing the number of reserve teams to just one. United has also reportedly sold off all "non-core" assets such as buildings surrounding the Old Trafford ground as well as firing marketing and administration staff. LIE # 2. We will complete all transfer business before the World Cup. - David Gill, Summer 2006. Ferguson and Gill went on holiday before the World Cup and then again afterwards. United spent the summer submitting low bids for players or chasing targets - embarrassingly - through the press rather than the appropriate channels. LIE # 3. We will bring in two World Class players who have played in the Champions League. - David Gill, Summer 2006. Carrick and Kuscak - neither can legitimately be called "World Class" as neither has any experience on the world stage - and neither has ever played in the Champions League. Tevez, Mascherano, Ballack, Shevchenko - World Class. LIE # 4. I am happy with the squad I have. - Sir Alex. Yeah, right, Fergie. To illustrate the imbalance in the squad United has just three recognised central midfielders - Carrick, Scholes and Fletcher. The Reds have just the one forward without injury concerns - Rooney. Saha has been injured more often than not over the last three years, Solskjaer and Smith are returning from horrendous injuries and even Rooney has suffered two serious broken bones in his foot in the last two years. United has not replaced Ruud van Nistelrooy and not brought in a ball-winning midfielder. LIARS. -- |

no matter what they state, united are properly fucking skint!
thats why no buisness was conducted before the sale of the horse.as soon as he went, they bought carrick for a nonsense figure-anything else was just a smokescreen to keep the fans in the dark.all is well at the moment,9 pts out of 9, but its a long season and as soon as injuries creep in,and they play some half decent teams ,it will all turn to shit. |

I'm sorry, have we or have we not just spent 14 million on Carrick?!? and we were well on the way to signing Hargreaves! Quote:
We tried to sign Hargreaves before then world cup! Quote:
United were never going to go along with the Teves and Mascherano deal. Ballack and Shevchenko were already on their way to Chelsea! Quote:
And he's not injured right now so stop moaning and keep your fingers crossed! |
