I've just been watching ESPN Wolves v United, 1978. Great game we won 4-2
but the best thing about it was that it was a proper football game. none of
this diving all over the place full blooded tackles and people getting up
after them. Players of today take note.

You will all remember 1978, its the year after we won the FA Cup at Wembley
to prevent Liverpool winning a treble, or the older ones of us would........

Ted, I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for you. Since you got back
from your intensive therapy course you haven't made a post that didn't make
you look like a complete imbecile.

Try reading his post properly.

The likes of Tommy Smith, Nobby Stles and company wouldn't last 5 mins
with today's Refs. The game hasn't changed that much, the way they ref
the game has.

Never mind that 1979 was the year of the 5 minute final and 3-2 to the
Arsenal. Up the Gunners!!!

And 77 was the year of the Liverpool Cup final. My brother (Who supports
Liverpool) Never spoke to me for 2 years afterwards. (1978 was the year
after, as pointed out in my original post Ted.
