The only thing FC United fans have going for them, is they are not the
murdering scum of Europe.

I totally and 100% agree with him. I am and always will be a Man Utd fan
regardless of who owns the club.

Honestly? Well:

I was reading the Manchester Evening News' similar 'story' the other night
and was quite surprised about *some* of his *alleged* comments repeated
there. Like all of us here, I support the club no matter who owns us.
Although I fall into the 'love United, hate glazer' crowd unlike a *very*
small minority here who seem to even like his ownership (er, that'll be you
then Larry) - I have no hard feelings for those who chose to set up another
club...albeit for anti-glazer reasons, simply a desire for a return to the
grass roots.... or even via financial worries about the ever rising expense
of being a United fan. What *DID* surprise me was his *alleged* comments
about us fans being wholly ineffectual in the anti-Murdoch takeover
movement. When the monopolies commission themselves paid tribute to our
part, and at the time....so did Sir Alex Ferguson.

Although I will have to read the book itself, and not the interpretations of
the Bertie arse licker, FCUM loving gobshite at the MEN who has increasingly
been anti-*real* United for quite some time now. So I'll hold out judgement
until I read all the book from which these comments are supposed to have
arose. Although if some of the stuff I read attributed to SAF on the fans of
FCUM, in the MEN, were true, I personally don't think he was speaking for
all of their fans (i.e. the ones wanting a return to grass roots and/or the
ones who can no longer afford to take their family to Old Trafford on a
weekend, which accounts for a few FCUM fans I happen to know through
work/social life etc. He was probably speaking *only* about the big-time
Charlies who have indeed been very self promoting at the expense of
Manchester United - and are largely full of shit. So in many respects, he
was completely spot-on.

Like anyone else on this planet, I take him as a human being....I can both
agree and disagree with him on the merits of what was actually said. I won't
abide his every word with blind faith, and neither will I cuss him up for
the fuck of it......like you do! So I raise the question of why you are even
bringing this up....if it was to start a flame war, you've lost. Crawl back
in yer hole, now!

I am bringing it up, as when a manager criticises the fans, it's important

While I agree that it is relevant to this group, these turncoats are and
never were true fans of Manchested United.

But they're the fans of a DIFFERENT CLUB, one he has no relationship
with, making it utterly unimportant.

Why don't you go find their newsgroup and post it there?
