Default The young Maloofs, children of privilege all their lives, keep sticking their hands o

Yeah, I saw the show on TV that was a tribute to the father of his
children. And they are children still and will probably be forever.

And the patriarch of that family is probably turning in his grave. To
have worked so hard during his life and to have children who only know
how to stick their hands out.

One of them said something like - "Sure, we could have lived off the
money left us, but we like to keep taking chances. It makes life
exciting." Sure, as long as someone else is paying for it, Maloof
children, it sure is very exciting. Getting to go around and do as you
would please and have someone else pay the money for it.

Two of the major whines from the 3 sons I saw on the show was how the
Kings needed a new $400M bball house and how Las Vegas has had a
downturn since Hurricane Katrina. One of the sons said it was
impossible for private interests to build such a arena and how it was
good for the public to be involved in the funding. And it appeared to
this sage that that was their take as far as how "bad" (their words,
not mine) things were at the Palms.

Keep crying those crocodile tears, Maloof waifs. All the way to the
bank.

Those sons involved in the business continue to be children. And will
continue to be until they get some backbone like their father had.

The poor work for their money.

The rich have their money work for them.

The super rich have other people's money work for them.

Any questions?

"Yes, they have more money."

Mary Colum, often attributed to Ernest Hemingway, at whom she directed the comment
