Angels need to go 7-3 coupled with Oakland going 3-7 for the remainder
of the season to even tie. Hey it can happen. Can't it? But it would be some crazy stuff if the Angels swept Oakland in both series to even qualify for a tie. |

It's worse than that. If the A's go 3-7, we have to go 10-0. Seven of the last 10 games are head-to-head. So if the Angels are gonna pull off a miracle, now is the time. Quote:

You have to have hope as a fan, but there is no way this is going to happen. One A's win over the Angels and the MN is 2. Harden looked very very sharpe today. Just what the A's need, another good arm. I think the chant of Wait Until Next Year is approriate. Query--is Macha manager of the year? |

Whoops, didn't realize my math was so off. A 7-3 Angels record with a
3-7 A's record would result in the A's winning the division. Regardless, I'm not losing faith until the Angels are mathematically eliminated. Also, the way Arte Moreno is making it sound, there WILL be a big name added to the team next year. Personally, I'll believe it when I see it. |

ok, two losses to Oakland and we're done. So 5-2 is not good enough. 6-1 means we have to pick up 2 games out of the other 3 which is unlikely. So it'll have to be 7-0 or wait til 2007. Gotta hand it to Oakland, if they win this. They've played great ball the last two months. |
