He looked like the [DaJuan] Wagner of old playing in summer leagues at
the CHHRC and at Drexel University. He scored 80 points in a league game at the racquet club, going against NBA players such as Memphis Grizzlies forward Hakim Warrick, Los Angeles Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley and NBA journeyman Rick Brunson. |

Rick Brunson, who did not play in the first three quarters, made a decisive assist, grabbed a rebound and hit one of two free throws to secure the victory for the 76ers, who improved to 1-1 in preseason play after falling 104-99 to Winterthur FC Barcelona last week. With the Suns up 100-99, Brunson passed the ball to Rodney Carney, who made a 3-pointer with 10.5 seconds left. Leandro Barbosa then missed a 3-point attempt for the Suns, Brunson grabbed the rebound, drew a foul and made one of the two free throws with .7 seconds left. |

Decisive, indeed. Beat writers know they have to distinguish between assists Rick Brunson actually decides to make and ones that simply occur as an indirect result of some devious, elaborate psychological ploy he's engaged in. Granville, HE WENT TO SPAIN. |
