"Two out of three ain't bad..." Too bad for the Tigers though that they got swept by the (lowly) Royals. Amazing that the Tigers lost the division title on the last day of the season after holding it for so long. Best wishes in the post-season to both the Tigers and the Twins. Even though I'm an avid Sox fan I will absolutely cheer for the AL Central teams in the post-season. Kind of a toss up for me on which of the two, Twins/Tigers, that I'd choose. I guess I'd prefer the Tigers, but in the end it would be cool if either AL Central team won the World Series. Have fun. |

Sorry, John...but your Tigers just GAVE IT AWAY on their own. No amount of "help" would have changed that, IMO. Go Twins!!! - Scott Smith: scott@sludgereport.org Book Blog: http://scottsbooks.blogspot.com Blue States Rising: http://www.bluestaterising.blogspot.com |

Yeah, well, the Tigers have only themselves to blame. In this case, other than bragging rights, it really didn't matter either way. Still disappointing but it's not like they got bounced out of the playoffs because of what happened. I hope they can grab the magic Chicago had last year. |

Yes they did. Tigers gave it away, Twins didn't grab it. Good point Scotty. |

Erasing a 12-game deficit in less than two months and the Twins didn't "grab it?" How the fuck you figure that? Matt |

Well I agree the Twinkies were one of the hottest teams since the all
star break.. but in all fairness the Tigers did shoot them selves in the foot over the weekend. Just like the Sox did.. I think the Sox need to trade off Cotts Burhle and Contreras and Jenks would be shopped if I was there.. I would like to work on Thorton as a possible closer. or perhaps a starter if he can do nine Brian Anderson? I just don't know.. he really did not show me that much.. but then neither did Crede the fiirst few years.. Jc AcesWired@gmail.com wrote: Quote:
