I'm not sure I like this at all...
http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs....0053/1071/rss08 Interesting about Stewart possibly returning for TV broadcasts. -- Steve Project-43 http://soundclick.com/project43 http://www.project-43.com/ "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice." |

It would be nice to see Steve return for TV.
I still believe if Marty wanted somebody in the booth he could get it done. On Mon, 2 Oct 2006, Steve M. Mann wrote: Quote:

Sounds like Stewart's replacement will be Thom Brenneman. I heard McCallister on the radio today and he was talking like he knew it for sure. I'm guessing the reason Thom would be willing to make the move would be the imminent taking over the main job after his dad retires. I like it, and I would also take Steve Stewart on TV over George Grande. Marty probably could have saved Steve Stewart if not for nepotism. |

Not so sure about that. It sounds like there could be a 3rd guy as well. |

I guess Thom has a lot of Fox commitments, so he would be absent on a regular basis. Maybe the 'xPTBNL' can fill in then. -- Steve Project-43 http://www.project-43.com/ "Paradise, can it be all I heard it was? I close my eyes and maybe I'm already there." |

Yeah,
So much for having a player's input during a broadcast. Of course, we get the unique point of view of another announcer in the booth !!!! How special is that !!!! Its bad enough that: 1) the broadcasts are getting filled up with in-bat and in-inning commercials 2) we get the same opening day match up every year (cup vs reds forever) Steve M. Mann wrote: Quote:

What happened to Tracy Jones' "Idol" try-outs that was almost guaranteed to put somebody in the booth? Also, besides the Cubs, why do we have to play the Brewers so much? I know they usually suck and can cure other teams ills, but 38 games against the same two teams - time to change the channel. |
