You know Colletti will try to snap him up in a heart beat. And with the
short right field porch in N.Y. Would the Maris and Ruth fans be upset if he broke Aaron's record while leading them to another title? Or could he break the homerun record as a dodger, playing against the Giants. Barry can only imagine how many more homers he would have if he had the opportunity to hit against giants pitching. It makes no sense to let him go, even if he is no longer the centerpiece of the team. |

The Giants will more than likely not be a very good team next year, they may as well keep sucking with Bonds. SF can hold their head...not so high when Bonds breaks the home run record as a Giant. No championships, but a tainted home run record at least. |

If they don't sign Bonds for next year SBC park will be empty. |

It'll never happen, but it sure is amusing to imagine the reaction of all the anti-Bonds Dodger trolls to such a signing. -- JD "...if you think the 'Star Wars' prequels are a disease, then 'Serenity' is the cure." |

Would Bonds go for it though? Dodger Stadium isn't a "hitters"
ballpark. Coors, Wrigley, or the BOB would be ideal National League parks and the Rockies could use something to bring fans back to the park. Of course, Barry would be better suited for the AL. The Angels, in particular, need somebody with pop behind Vlad. Salmon is retiring, Figgins, Kennedy, and Erstad are even money for stay/go, and they stubbornly refuse to move Garrett Anderson to DH. Bill Stoneman won't likely pull the trigger, but it would make sense. If not any of the above, maybe Baltimore would overpay to have him possibly break the record in Babe's old neighborhood. I thought of this too...Barry becoming a Dodger wouldn't surprise me in

You got the answer right, but the reason wrong. The ballpark will not be a deciding factor in his decision; the team might. With his history of being a Giant, his father being a Giant, his Godfather being an all-time Giants great, who still has close ties to the team today, no chance Bonds will become a bum. And then there's Jeff Kent, Bonds' long time "buddy"... ;-) |

If Bonds became a Yankee, I would no longer cheer for the Giants,
become a COMPLETE Dodgers fan, and cheer the Yankees on. I HATE the yankees, but if Bonds were on their time, I would cheer Barry (yankees) on. Is Barry Lamar Bonds bigger than the game of baseball? You bet your ass he is! Barry Dr. Wayne Simon wrote: Quote:
