Wow. _This_ is an end of an era. Forget about the coaching turnovers, the first time missing the playoffs. TBS not carrying Braves baseball. Next thing you'll tell me they're going to stop showing Andy Griffith reruns. -- Cranial Crusader dgh 1138 at bell south point net |

You mean not carrying Braves baseball only right? My understanding was that there would be a bunch of Braves games (say 40) and a bunch of non-Braves games (say 30). I think this is not a black-out situation like Saturday afternoon FOX and Sunday night ESPN right? Seeking the Light, Marty Winn |

"Beginning in 2008 and running through 2013, TBS' national baseball coverage will consist soley of 26 Sunday afternoon broadcasts that could include matchups between any Major League Baseball teams. " I see no other way to read that than they're showing 26 games, some of which might be Braves games. After next year. -- Cranial Crusader dgh 1138 at bell south point net |

That's how I understood it when it was first talked about.. whenever that was. With the addition [earlier in the cited article] of them carrying DS games starting in 2008 too. And being just outside their magic 6-state kingdom, I can't get TS or even the regionally-distro'ed TBS games. But hey, I'm not too far from Tampa, so I guess I can watch Rays games... what? Oh, ok, I guess they'll only show 6 or 7 of those around here. Well, ok, I am only a couple hours from Miami, so I can watch Marlins games... what? My dumb-ass cable company won't air FSN Florida? Yeah, why would someone in a state with 2 baseball teams want to watch baseball games anyway? |
