Who are the XX's?

[begin AP story quote]

"There's a shared responsibility there, some of which is XXXXX's, some
of which is mine, and a good deal to the players," general manager XXXX
XXXX said Wednesday. "This is an organizational goal to win. When we
don't do it, it falls on all of us."

The ax fell on XXXXX after an 80-82 mark that was the team's sixth
losing record in seven years since last making the playoffs in 1999.

[end quote]

Wayne Krivsky talking about firing Jerry Narron? Nope. Jon Daniels
talking about firing Buck Showalter.

Interesting similarity tho.

You know who the Rangers' manager was before Showalter, right? That
said, Narron's had a season and a half in Cincinnati, and he's 126-128.
He's essentially had a .500 team despite not having .500 talent, so no
one should expect his job to disappear this fall.

It is a pretty dumb thing to say, though, when you still have your job and
the manager doesn't.

Well, Daniels has been the GM for less than a year - he should have kept
his mouth shut, but he's not really accountable yet, either.

Buck Showalter lost the clubhouse in Texas. Supposedly, several agents
called Daniels and said that their clients did not want to return to the
Rangers if Showalter was managing. I don't thing you can say they same thing
about Narron.

Its not anything new for Buck, either. Much the same was said when he left
New York and Arizona.
