What is the eneral perception right now of TP's work as Braves' hitting coach? The offense certainly did well this year. Andruw has had two of his best years the last two seasons, McCann has kicked ass also, betemit hit well for ATL, Renteria bounced back well (though tailed off in the second half) and Laroche had a hell of a year; OTOH we have Francoeur (who would be a tough project for any hitting coach) and the struggles of Giles. I don't know how much of that we can conclude was helped by pendleton, but it seems he deserves some credit. Colin |
