I hope it's not over but I fear you will bow out gracefully and full of
class just like you have shown us your entire career. Truthfully, I don't feel the sting as much this year. Perhaps it was the bittersweetness of winning the division the way they did and getting swept so quickly. Next year boys. Another year older and this team can do some damage. It was simply Oakland's time to exorcise their recent postseason demons. Bundo |

Fucking moron. Where was this ass clown when Radke was carrying the team in late July and August? Nowhere to be seen. How does it feel to be the standing newsgroup punchline, Scottsdale Guy? It takes a LOT of work to get everyone to agree on something in here. And I think it's unanimous - you're a moron. Matt |

Helloooo, short bus. Why is it every time i express my feelings on how bad and inconstistant radke is, your only comeback is to call me a moron. Don't remember, go back to april of this year. you can manipulate his numbers all you want but at the end of the day, he is 9 games over .500 with a .422 era. not exactly HOF numbers. Face it, you, like most others on this board, are not smart. You are the same people who wanted the twins to get koskie back last summer. stop drinking the kool-aid |

Is that what you were doing? Because to me, it looked like you were kicking a guy who was hurt and down. To me, it looked like some pretty uninspired trolling. Quote:
Actually, I used to come back with some simple baseball statistics and logic. But you established yourself as clearly unable to follow that. Quote:
????? Could you point me to a post where I said that? I know you're not really strong with actual facts, but let's give this one a shot anyway. Simple fact - Radke carried this team on a broken shoudler through July and August. And you were nowhere to be seen. Now he comes back and has one marginal playoff outing (three earned runs) and you're suddenly back taking shots again. Where were you during the exciting Wild Card race that turned into a divisional race? Where were you when the Twins and As were opening up an exciting first-round series? Where were you when the Twins got swept at home? Nowhere. That's because you're not a Twins fan. You're a troll with some burr up your ass about Brad Radke. Well good news, Radke's career is over. You never need to come back. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Bye now, troll boy. Leave the group to the actual Twins fans. Matt |

Who said Radke was HOF material? But if he had a .422 ERA, as you state, I think he would be a shoo-in! A 4.22 ERA is still a 1/2 a run below the league average. Also, the Twins winning record in the years that Radke pitched was 944-979. Radke's best year, 1997, when he was 20-10 with a 3.87 ERA the Twins went 68-94. |

Regardless of whether or not he is a Hall of Famer or Cy Young
candidate, he showed the team loyalty through the worst of times, resigned a home town deal when the Twins needed him, and pitched for a couple months (and damn well) with a torn labrum and broken shoulder and helped lead us into the playoffs. I am not the biggest Radke fan, but if you cant at least respect him for his contributions and guts this year, especially considering how many players these days get days off for hang nails much less 2 separate injuries that would shelf a pitcher, youre being stubborn. So thanks Brad, youve shown some true guts, and we wouldnt have won the division without you. |

In fact, as I think you are alluding to, Matt, when BR was showing the Twins fans several more good reasons to be Twins fans this year, I (and maybe others) specifically asked where SG was. I don't recall his showing up to say he was wrong or (God forbid) sorry about his hostility toward Radke. But you have to hand it to him. Not very many guys would be _____________________ (fill in the blank) enough to write this kind of nonsense now. Brian J Quote:
